TASTY TREATS AT TESCO

MIKE AND IKE is wishing Tesco shoppers a very happy New Year by giving away lots of tasty free samples at around 100 of the company’s leading supermarkets over the next few months.

More than 300,000 people will receive free Mike and Ike candies and the great giveaway will be advertised and promoted in regional newspapers throughout the UK.

Mike and Ike will continuing to be offering free samples at leading supermarkets, events and shows throughout the year so watch this space for more information.

SANTA’S SWEET SURPRISE

MIKE AND IKE will be spreading a little festive happiness this month at Xscape, the fun-tastic family adventure and entertainment centre in Milton Keynes.
As part of its continuing association with the centre’s SNO-zone indoor real snow ski-slopes, Mike and Ike candies will feature in Santa’s goodie bags being given out to visitors this month. The Christmas treat will help raise funds and awareness of the NSPCA’s “Letters from Santa” campaign.
Mike and Ike advertise on and around the ski slopes and have also sponsored a number of highly successful SNO–storm party nights at the venue.

MIKE AND IKE® GO FOOTBALL CRAZY

MIKE AND IKE love their football, so they were delighted to have the chance to step in recently and support the Portsmouth schools tournament organised by The Portsmouth News. With more than 40 school teams taking part, there was plenty of demand for Mike and Ike chewy fruit-flavoured candies.

BLUES AND SOUL Magazine recently celebrated its 1,000th issue with an exclusive London party so Mike and Ike couldn’t resist an invitation to offer celebrity guests the chance to sample the delights of their fruity candies. Mike and Ike also showed up at the recent MOBO Awards where X Factor winner Leona was just one of the celebrities who enjoyed her Mike and Ike candies.

MIKE AND IKE® AROUND THE UNIVERSITIES

MIKE AND IKE have been getting out and about in the past few weeks with a tour of major universities. More than 52,000 students have had the chance to sample Mike and Ike candies. The tour took in Portsmouth, Exeter, Plymouth and the combined universities of Cornwall as well as three leading London venues – Middlesex, Westminster and London Metropolitan universities. The overwhelming view of students was that Mike and Ike taste absolutely brilliant!

WHAT AN ADVENTURE! with MIKE AND IKE®

THE WHITE AIR Festival on the Isle of Wight provided extreme sports fans with seven action-packed days of adventure and Mike and Ike naturally joined in the fun. The Festival featured world-class action from 18 different extreme sports plus 50 live bands. In addition to advertising and arranging daily competitions, Mike and Ike handed out thousands of tasty samples.

MIKE AND IKE have been making waves at the Ripcurl Boardmasters – Europe’s largest surf, skateboard, BMX and music festival. The seven-day event held at Newquay attracted record crowds and thousands of adventure sports fans had the chance to discover the great taste of Mike and Ike fruit-flavoured candies!

Carnival Fun with MIKE AND IKE®

MIKE AND IKE® made sure the recent Hackney Carnival was a fun-packed event by sending out a special team to hand out thousands of tasty free samples. The weekend carnival provided a feast of music and dance to celebrate Hackney’s role as a host borough for the 2012 Olympic Games. In addition to fantastic costumes, shows and parades, the event attracted no fewer than 15 top bands.

In a major sampling promotion, MIKE AND IKE® sweets were handed out to students throughout October.
